The “20th Hofer Research Regional Meeting,” organized by Hofer Research (Switzerland) to present the latest research findings on Pycnogenol® and Robivit®, was held in Shanghai, China, from May 26 to 30. Approximately 160 participants from 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific region gathered for the event, during which seven research presentations were delivered.

Professor Jean Krutmann of the Leibniz Institute for Environmental Medicine in Germany delivered a lecture on the effects of the exposome (including UV radiation, air pollution, climatic factors, and nutritional factors) on skin aging. Additionally, the results of a recent randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving Chinese subjects with cellulite reported improvements in cellulite following Pycnogenol® supplementation.

Furthermore, Professor Petra Högger of the University of Würzburg reported on a recent clinical trial confirming that daily intake of 100 mg of Pycnogenol® led to reductions in bone resorption markers (CTX-1, NTX-1) and the inflammatory cytokine IL-6, as well as improvements in pain-related quality of life and vitality scores.

Meanwhile, Robuvit® has accumulated a wide range of research results regarding fatigue reduction, post-exercise recovery, stress management, and liver function support, and expectations are rising for it as an ingredient for the healthy aging market. In the latest clinical trial, daily intake of 300 mg of Robuvit® was confirmed to have effects related to sarcopenia prevention, including reduced muscle loss, reduced oxidative stress, reduced body fat, improved grip strength, and increased angiogenesis.
