[New Clinical Study] TurmXTRA® 60N Improves Skin Pigmentation and Hydration

News

A new clinical study on TurmXTRA® 60N, a highly bioavailable curcumin extract that we distribute, has been published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology.

This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted by a research institution in India with 96 healthy female participants aged 18 to 40. The subjects consumed 250 mg of TurmXTRA® 60N daily for 60 days, and its efficacy and safety were evaluated.

As a result, the TurmXTRA® 60N group showed a significant reduction in facial pigmentation (dark spots) after 30 days. From day 15 onward, increases in skin hydration and reductions in transepidermal water loss (TEWL) were observed. Skin radiance also improved significantly from day 15, and subjective evaluations reported higher scores for “moisturization,” “smoothness,” “radiance,” and “reduction of dark spots” compared with the placebo group. These findings provide new evidence that turmeric extract is beneficial in the field of beauty and skincare.

We serve as the exclusive distributor of this ingredient in Japan. In addition to its previously recognized benefits for joint support and reduction of post-exercise fatigue, we are now considering its application as an ingredient suitable for Foods with Function Claims (FFC) in the beauty category.

We hope this ingredient will be helpful in your future product development in the beauty and wellness sectors.
